Role and Responsibilities
My role was to design the user interface for the staking page, working closely with the UX designer.
The Challenge
The challenge was to simplify a complex staking experience into something clear and easy to understand. Users need to make financial decisions, so the interface had to communicate rewards, risks, and lock conditions in a transparent and intuitive way.
The Process
I received the initial sketches from the UX designer and discussed the user journey with her. Then I iterated on the design, refining the interface and visuals to align with the main landing page. I also used the same design system to keep everything consistent across the product.
My challenge was to make the interface look better while also improving usability.
So it’s not just visually nice, but also easy to understand and use.
I iterated on the design and discussed it closely with the team and the UX designer.
I explored a few directions and decided to go with a simple single-modal design to avoid
confusing users and keep the focus on the main action: Stake.
Other actions come after in a clear flow: Stake → Unstake → Withdraw, allowing users to
follow step by step without overthinking, using a segmented control to switch between actions.
Stake
They choose how much to stake (MAX or custom amount). The stIN conversion is shown automatically as a preview (just for info, no extra action needed). After confirming and signing the transaction, stIN is received in their wallet and rewards start.
Unstake
Done in the Unstake tab. Users can unstake instantly, but the tokens will go into a 7-day unbonding period before they can claim.
Withdraw
After 7 days, users go to the Withdraw tab to claim their IN tokens back to their wallet.
