Factopia is a creative community of artists, designers, architects, photographers, and digital production agencies. Founded in 2017 by Tithi Kutchamuch, the name Factopia is a portmanteau of the words Factory and Utopia.

The Ask

The creative director needed to translate her ideas about capitalism into visual narratives, using animal characters to portray her concepts with satire and humor.

The Making

Before trying to do everything, the creative director first introduced me to all the characters she wanted to add to the story. Chickens, lizards, cats, birds, snakes, and more. All of the characters were inspired by the animals around the Factopia studio. Ahh yes… every character came from Factopia itself!

After I became friends with all of them, I started sketching and looking for a style that matched the direction Tithi shared with me. This is just a small part of my five sketchbooks from my time at Factopia.
